PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University men's basketball team outscored Wilmington 50-42 in the second half, but the Tigers could not overcome a strong first half by the Wildcats in an 84-92 loss on Tuesday night.

- Tazir Cantey (Lindenwold, N.J./Eastern Regional) led all players with a career-best five steals and added a team-high 20 points, two shy of a game-high and one shy of a season-best
- Jason Shields (Scranton, Pa./Scranton (Jefferson University)) fell one rebound shy of a game-high with eight, and Jake McGonigle (Ocean City, N.J./Wildwood Catholic) fell one assist shy of a game-high with a season-best six

How it Happened
- Wilmington opened the night with a 3-pointer and never trailed despite HFU getting as close as one twice, including at 5-6 on a Hurst triple less than two minutes in
- Seven straight points gave the Wildcats their first double-digit lead, 9-20, 5:44 into the contest
- The Tigers got within single four times in the first half, including when a Pires 3-pointer and Cantey layup made the score 30-37 with an even three minutes on the clock
- The Wildcats closed the half on a 4-13 surge though, taking a 34-50 cushion into the locker room
- Wilmington then built a game-high 37-55 advantage just 1:21 out of the break
- HFU fought back to within seven three times, including at 69-76 when two David Robinson Jr. (Philadelphia, Pa./Chestnut Hill Academy) free throws completed seven unanswered with 5:46 left, but the Tigers could never make it a two-possession deficit
