The Holy Family University men's track & field program ended the regular season with two more East Coast Conference (ECC) weekly awards, as
Kouto Anyika (Philadelphia, Pa./Pennwood) repeated as the Track Athlete of the Week and
Nishorn Pierre (Grenada/Jamaica College) won his third Field Athlete of the Week of the season.
The Tigers have now received seven out of possible 10 ECC weekly awards this season.
Kouto Anyika (Philadelphia, Pa./Pennwood)
Anyika moved into 11th in Division II in the 400m after crossing in 47.56 at the Fast Track National Invitational on Saturday. In addition to being an NCAA provisional, the time broke a near six-year-old school record and placed him second out of 123 entries, trailing just a non-NCAA entry. The sophomore defeated Division I runners from Stony Brook in his standout performance.
Nishorn Pierre (Grenada/Jamaica College)
Pierre won two events with NCAA provisionals at the Fast Track National Invitational on Saturday, topping a field of 46 with a mark of 14.90m in the triple jump and defeating 17 others in the high jump with a clearance of 2.14m.
