Jason Shields (Scranton, Pa./Scranton (Jefferson University)) has been named the Philadelphia Small College Basketball Association Player of the Week for after averaging a double-double of 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week. He added 4.0 assists per game.
The sophomore drew a charge on the final defensive possession of last Tuesday's three-point win at Georgian Court, capping a performance in which he finished with 10 points and a team-high eight boards.
Shields then led all players with career-highs of 29 points and 13 rebounds, while leading HFU with a career-best five assists, for his second double-double of the season in last Saturday's overtime triumph over regionally-ranked Dominican.
