NEW HAVEN, Conn. (December 10, 2024) – Holy Family University women's basketball player Taylor Hinkle (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) has been selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Student-Athlete of the Month for November 2024, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced today. Hinkle earned the award for demonstrating success on the court during the month, while also being a standout in the classroom and giving back to her community.

Hinkle, a junior from Chalfont, Pa., receives the honor for the second time after having also been named in December 2023. She helped lead Holy Family to a 6-1 opening month to the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 11.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals. She was named the CACC Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 18. Hinkle and the Tigers highlighted November with a 56-50 road victory over then No.12-ranked Assumption University on Nov. 23, a game in which Hinkle collected 20 points and nine rebounds.

Last season, Hinkle was selected to the All-CACC First Team and to the D2 CCA All-East Region Second Team. She was also chosen to the CACC All-Tournament Team.

Academically, Hinkle carries a 3.84 cumulative grade-point average while majoring in healthcare administration and management. She qualified for the 2023-24 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team and the CACC All-Academic Team and Academic Honor Roll.
Hinkle has volunteered with several northeast Philadelphia organizations to assist those less fortunate. She has helped hand out food and clothing at St. John Hospice, made blessing bags for the Grace Project, donated gifts to the children of the Drueding Center, and called bingo at a Senior Bingo event hosted by State Sen. Jimmy Dillon. She has also assisted at several other community events sponsored by HFU, including Rize Education, SAAC Trunk or Treat, Holiday Giving, and Kids Basketball Camp.

The CACC Student-Athlete of the Month Award is handed out from September to May each academic year. It recognizes one student-athlete from any sport active during that month.
