Riepe and Meredith Lead 3-Point Barrage at St. Thomas Aquinas

SPARKILL, N.Y. – Jessica Riepe (Marlboro, N.J./Marlboro) and Kara Meredith (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Archbishop Wood) combined for 44 points on 13-of-17 3-pointers in the HFU women's basketball team's wire-to-wire 79-53 win at St. Thomas Aquinas on Wednesday night. 
 
The Tigers made 17-of-35 from beyond the arc as a team for their most triples since the beginning of the 2012-13 season. It was also tied for eighth most in Division II this year. 
 
Riepe connected on a career-high 8-of-10 3-pointers en route to a game and career-high 26 points. The senior now ranks sixth in program history with 149 for her career. 
 
Meredith sank five trifectas and finished with 18 points for the game's second highest total.
 
Individual Highlights
  • Riepe was also second on the Tigers with four assists for another career-best
    • Kaelah Carter (Watervliet, N.Y./Shaker (The College of Saint Rose)) had four dimes as well
  • Skyler Searfoss (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe Area) led all players with six assists, while Freshman Lauren Palangio (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) tied a game-high with seven rebounds
  • Taylor Hinkle (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) contributed eight points and six boards, while Carolyn Prevost (Belle Mead, N.J./Montgomery) had seven points and five rebounds
