Women’s Soccer Shuts Out Goldey-Beacom, 2-0

WILMINGTON, Del. – The HFU women's soccer team picked up a 2-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) vi ctory at Goldey-Beacom on Wednesday afternoon. 
 
Rylee Kaufmann (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) and Carly Fox (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy (Penn State Berks)) both scored their first career goals for the Tigers in the second half. 

Kaufmann first put Holy Family ahead via an Allison Loper (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth Academy (Georgian Court)) corner kick just 3:48 out of the break, before Fox pounced on a defensive header inside the six-yard box in the 73rd minute. 
 
Loper now leads the Tigers with four assists on the year. 
 
Jaina Preuhs (Brookhaven, Pa./Sun Valley) was only forced to make two saves in her second shutout of the season, with Kaufmann, Brooke Del Toro (Edgewater Park, N.J./Burlington City), Izzy Mignon (Pipersville, Pa./Central Bucks East), Lexi Murphy (Woolwich Township, N.J./Kingsway Regional (Saint Francis U)), Abbie D'Ambra (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West), Bella Scurci (Selbyville, Del./Indian River), Katelyn Perazzola (Warner Robins, Ga./Mount de Sales Academy), Samantha Pastino (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and Rebecca Casper (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) playing defensively in the shutout.
 
Holy Family had the first two attempts on goal, with Loper and Maddie Maguire (Sewell, N.J./Nazareth Academy (Rider)) firing on net in the 11th and 29th minutes, while Preuhs made her only first half save in the 42nd.
 
A Murphy saved shot led to the Tigers' scoring corner kick, before Preuhs made her second and final stop in the 56th minute.
