Volleyball Sweeps CACC North Leader Post

PHILADELPHIA – The HFU volleyball team swept Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division leader Post (25-23, 25-21, 25-22) on Saturday afternoon inside of the Campus Center. 
 
Individual Highlights
  • Ava Kidd (Walton, Ky./Larry A. Ryle (Saint Anselm)) was the lone player in double-figures for kills with 11 on .409 hitting, and she added a match-high five blocks
  • Morgan Steck (Lakewood, Colo./Lakewood) led all players with 29 assists and added 10 digs for her first double-double of the season
  • Cadence Palmer (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) tied a match-high with 15 digs, while Morgan Marziani-Radomski (Aurora, Ill./West Aurora) made it three Tigers with double-digit digs
    • Palmer and Marziani-Radomski led all players with three aces apiece
  • Kalia Espenlaub (New Market, Md./Saint John's Catholic Prep (Millersville)) and Shelby Kinzer (Sioux Falls, S.D./Washington) each contributed eight kills, with Espenlaub adding four blocks

How it Happened
  • Down 18-20, HFU ended the first set on a 7-3 flurry that featured 2.5 points from Kidd
  • The Tigers then tallied the final five points of the second, with Espenlaub and Leah Logan (Bloomfield, N.J./Abundant Life Academy) each contributing a kill and a block assist
  • Trailing 9-12, five unanswered began a 7-1 run that featured two kills from both Espenalub and Jayden Bralts (Jupiter, Fla./Jupiter), and HFU led the rest of the way
