NEWARK, N.J. – The Holy Family University men's and women's cross country teams both placed in top-half of fields of 31 at NJIT's Highlander XC Challenge on Saturday. 
 
The women came in 12th, while the men were 15th.
 

• Emma McNamee (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) (20:43.9) and Maya Harper (Pleasantville, N.J./Pleasantiville) (20:55.7) both finished in the top-50 of the women's 5K
• Five other Tigers – Zane McNeil (Pleasantville, N.J./Charter Tech), Paris Hayden (Brooklyn, N.Y./Pocono Mountain), Ava Cowden (Richboro, Pa./Archbishop Wood), Jada Peterson (Levittown, Pa./Harry S. Truman) and Lesedi Anyika (/) - placed in the top-half of the field of 219
• Cowden (22:51.1), Peterson (26:19.9) and Brooke Kakowski (Delran, N.J./Delran) (25:24.7) all set collegiate PRs
• Thelonius Lucien (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Success Academy High School of the Liberal Arts) (28:56.6) and Matthew Martino (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) (collegiate PR 28:57.8) led the men, crossing back-to-back in 74th and 75th in the 8K
• Letlotlo Mohubedu (Pretoria, South Africa/Northern Academy Secondary School (Essex CC)) (29:24.5) and Michael McGerry (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) (29:42.3) also finished in the top-100 of the field of 246
• Tyler Wesley (Winsdor, Conn./Bloomfield) (31:14.4) and Andrae Johnson (Egg Harbor City, N.J./Oakcrest) (31:32.0) joined Martino in running collegiate PRs
