LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The HFU volleyball team won its second consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match, staving off a Georgian Court set point in the fourth to defeat the Lions 3-1 on Wednesday evening.
Individual Highlights
- Maeve Boylan (Ridley Township, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) and Shelby Kinzer (Sioux Falls, S.D./Washington) led all players with career-highs of 24 digs and 19 kills, respectively
- Boylan also had double the amount of aces of any other player with six, tying a season-best, while Kinzer added four, the match's second-highest total
- Morgan Steck (Lakewood, Colo./Lakewood) led all players with a season-best 43 assists to move into seventh in program history with 1,175 for her career, and she added a season-high three blocks
- Jayden Bralts (Jupiter, Fla./Jupiter) and Ava Kidd (Walton, Ky./Larry A. Ryle (Saint Anselm)) were also in double-digits with 10 kills, with Kidd adding a match-high five blocks for a new season-best
- Natasha Yanief (Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) contributed eight kills

How it Happened
First Set (25-21)
- Tied at 13-13, the Tigers used a 5-1 run featuring two points from Kidd to take a multi-point lead for good
Second Set (21-25)
- Trailing by as many as nine, 10-19, HFU got as close as 20-21 as Kidd had three points in a 10-2 surge, but GCU was able to respond with four of the final five points
Third Set (25-23)
- Holy Family never trailed, breaking a 10-10 tie with six straight points (two each from Kidd, Kinzer and Brianna Moss (Gainesville, Va./Battlefield)), and despite the Lions getting as close as 23-22 and 24-23, the Tigers held them off with kills from Bralts and Abby Bachman (Westampton, N.J./Rancocas Valley)
Fourth Set (26-24)
- HFU erased an early 3-10 deficit with an 8-1 flurry to tie it at 11, before eventually staving off a set point with two Bralts kills sandwiching a Steck ace to secure the victory
