Eight members of the Holy Family University track & field program have been named Academic All-District®, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
HFU's honorees included
Korryn Braxton-Young (Newark, Del./Hodgson Vo-Tech),
Akim Cobham (Philadelphia, Pa./Franklin Towne Charter),
Brian Dietz (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge),
Kahdia Jones (Daytona Beach, Fla./Atlantic),
Shania Le Maitre (Champs Fleurs, Trinidad & Tobago/Holy Name Convent),
Dom Prestipino (Connellsville, Pa./Connellsville),
Shanell Pusey (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Matanzas) and
Samaria Ward (Upper Marlboro, Md./Largo).
CSC Academic All-District® Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. No student-athlete is eligible until he/she has completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution and is at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
