ECC Release
 
HFU's Shania Le Maitre (Champs Fleurs, Trinidad & Tobago/Holy Name Convent) has repeated as the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Indoor Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the league announced on Thursday. 
 
All ECC Scholar-Athlete of the Year recipients hold at least a 3.30 GPA, are a starter or key reserve, and have reached at least sophomore standing both athletically and academically.
 
Le Maitre helped Holy Family repeat as ECC champions in February, playing a part in 30 points as she won gold in the 800m, 4x400m relay and distance medley relay. 
 
Academically, she recently graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Biology after earning Dean's List Honors in each of her eight semesters en route to a 3.97 grade point average.
