Holy Family University's Skyler Searfoss (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe Area) was named the d2easthoops.org Rookie of the Year for the 2022-23 season. 
 
The organization covers the 35 teams that make up the Division II East Region. 
 
The freshman was fifth in the region with 117 free throws made and eighth with an 83.0 free throw percentage. She also ranked 17th with 90 assists. 
 
In addition to leading HFU in all three of those categories, Searfoss topped the Tigers with 13.1 points per game and was second with a 51.3 field goal percentage and 43 steals. 
 
All of those numbers ranked top 12 in the Centra Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), as she won the league's Rookie of the Year award.
 
Searfoss helped lead Holy Family to 20-10 overall record, including a 14-4 mark league play that eventually led to an appearance in the CACC Tournament Semifinals.
