Bensalem, Pa. – The HFU softball team clinched its third consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament berth after coming back to win game two over Bloomfield 7-3, securing a split with the Bears on Saturday afternoon at Bensalem High School.
In-between games the Tigers honored the Senior Class of
Devyn Dydak (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth Academy) and
Maria Leedom (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy (Shippensburg)).
Individual Highlights
- Kylee Jones (Hulmeville, Pa./Neshaminy (Rider)) had two hits in both games, finishing the day 4-for-6 with three RBI and two runs after homering in the nightcap
- Sam Ciasullo (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) homered as part of a 2-for-3 performance in the nightcap too, and she also earned a complete game win after surrendering just two earned on five hits
- Alexis Letizia (Toms River, N.J./Donovan Catholic) joined Jones and Ciasullo in finishing with two base knocks in game two, while Rylee Hobel (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) went 1-for-1 with two sacrifice flies
- Game one starter Paige Tidaback (Carteret, N.J./St. Thomas Aquinas) allowed just three hits in six frames

How it Happened
Game Two
- Jones' and Ciasullo's two-run homers both came in the sixth, breaking open what was a 3-2 game at the time
- Jones followed Letizia's leadoff single with hers, before Ciasullo came through with two outs to plate Carlie Miller (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory)
- Holy Family fell behind once more as Bloomfield scored once in each of its first two at-bats, the second of which was unearned
- Jones' leadoff triple in the third got the Tigers on the board as Hobel followed with a sacrifice fly
- Emma Clayborne's (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) leadoff double in the fourth then led to HFU taking the lead for good, as back-to-back singles by Leedom and Letizia tied the score before Hobel came through with yet another sacrifice fly
- Ciasullo kept the score at 3-2 with back-to-back 1-2-3 frames in the fifth and sixth
Game One
- Bloomfield opened the scoring with a three-run third despite leaving the bases loaded, scoring two unearned runs
- Holy Family cut the deficit to two for a first time when Clayborne led off the fourth with a single, pinch runner Jasmine Chi stole second and Angelina Bresnen (Morrisville, Pa./Conwell Egan) came through with a two-out RBI single
- The Bears would tally a second three-run frame in the sixth through, with HFU pulling within two once more in the bottom-half
- The Tigers took advantage of two errors, before two-out RBI singles by Jones and Hobel
- Holy Family could not threaten further though, after BC scored unneeded insurance in the seventh
