PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University women's lacrosse celebrated Senior Day by defeating Alliance 25-1 on Saturday morning at Tiger Field.
Prior to the match, the Tigers celebrated the senior class of
Kaitlyn Bromley (Philadelphia, Pa./New Foundations Charter School),
Madeline Curran (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower),
Lynn Hardy (Audubon, N.J./Camden Catholic) and
Rachael Sepcic (Robbinsville, N.J./Robbinsville (Georgian Court/Rowan)), along with graduates
Maura Coleman (Lower Moreland, Pa./Little Flower),
Tatceyana Pulley (Edgewater Park, N.J./Burlington City) and
Mackenzie Santucci (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional (RCBC)).
Individual Highlights
- 12 different Tigers scored, led by Rianna Shields's (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) six as she broke the program's 12-year-old single-season record of 69 set by Jennifer James in 2011
- Her 76 points are third in the program's single-season history, while 114 career goals and 132 career points are ninth and 10th all-time, respectively
- Imani Hopkins (Baltimore, Md./Carver Center for Arts & Technology) led all players with four ground balls and a career-high four caused turnovers to move in sixth in the program's single-season annals with 20
- Both she and Bromley scored their first career goals, while Sepcic and Santucci matched Hopkins with four ground balls
- Hardy had double the amount of draw controls as any other player with a career-best 12 to move into fourth in the program's single-season history with 92, while Tori Wolstenholme (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert's) added six to move into a tie for eighth with 66
- Hardy also had three caused turnovers to move into a tie for third all-time with 54 for her career, while Coleman had one to move into a tie for ninth with 44
- Curran matched Shields with six points, a new career-high as she led all players with a career-best four assists
- Hardy, Wolstenholme and Pulley, Hardy all netted hat tricks, with Pulley adding three assists to tie a match-high with six points and Hardy and Wolstenholme each contributing two assists
- Wolstenholme is now second in the program's single-season annals with 19 assists, while Pulley (17) and Hardy (16) are tied for third and tied for seventh respectively
- Sepcic matched Pulley three assists for a new season-best
- Emma Hurley (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Moreland) stopped two of the three shots she faced in the victory
Inside the Box Score
- HFU set a new program record with 42 points, the second most in Division II this season, while tying one with 17 assists, which it also accomplished in the season-opening win over UDC
- The 25 goals were the second most in program history, one shy of the record, and the fifth most in Division II this season
- The Tigers also tied a season-high with 21 draw controls
