WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Holy Family University softball team played a doubleheader at local power West Chester on Sunday afternoon, falling to the Golden Rams 1-10 and 1-9 despite scoring first.
Individual Highlights
- Angelina Bresnen (Morrisville, Pa./Conwell Egan) reached base twice in game one, walking and driving in HFU's run via an RBI double in the first
- Sam Ciasullo (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) had a hit in both games, including a double in the nightcap that led to the Tigers' run
How it Happened
Game One
- Holy Family was ahead two batters into the doubleheader after Kylee Jones (Hulmeville, Pa./Neshaminy (Rider)) led off with a bunt single and Bresnen followed with the RBI double
- West Chester would score thrice in each of its first at-bats though, en route to taking control
Game Two
- The Golden Rams plated five in the first and led throughout, with the Tigers momentarily cutting the deficit to 1-5 thanks to second inning doubles by Ciasullo and Carlie Miller (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory)
