Women’s Lacrosse Closes Out Non-Conference Schedule Against Molloy

PHILADELPHIA – The HFU women's lacrosse team closed out its non-conference schedule with an 11-21 loss to Molloy on Thursday afternoon at Tiger Field. 
 
Individual Highlights
  • Lynn Hardy (Audubon, N.J./Camden Catholic) led Holy Family with five draw controls and three ground balls, both of which were the match's second highest totals
    • Hardy now ranks fourth in program with 180 career draw controls
  • Imani Hopkins (Baltimore, Md./Carver Center for Arts & Technology) tied a match-high with two caused turnovers
  • Tatceyana Pulley (Edgewater Park, N.J./Burlington City) tallied a team-high four points on two goals and two assists, while Mackenzie Santucci (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional (RCBC)) and Rianna Shields (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) both recorded hat tricks
    • Santucci moved into eighth in program history with 111 career goals

  • The Tigers matched a season-best with three free-position goals, with Tori Wolstenholme (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert's) joining Santucci and Shields in netting one 
 
How it Happened 
  • Both teams opened the contest with runs of three straight goals, with HFU answering the Lions to knot the match at 3-3 on Rachael Sepcic (Robbinsville, N.J./Robbinsville (Georgian Court/Rowan)) score with 6:12 left in the first
  • Santucci also tied it at 4-4 at the 2:26 mark, only to have Molloy closed the first with three goals over the final of 1:47, the last of which came four seconds before the horn
  • The Tigers got as close as 6-8 with 11:19 remaining in the second after Pulley responded to a Lions goal by scoring twice in a row
  • Molloy went on a 1-4 run though and after Wolstenholme cut the deficit to 8-12 4:34 ahead of halftime, the Lions would tally seven in a row, the first of which made it 8-13 at the break
