DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Playing at a nationally-ranked opponent for the second time in three days, the HFU women's lacrosse team was competitive once again in at 9-16 loss at Embry-Riddle on Sunday morning.
Individual Highlights
- Lynn Hardy (Audubon, N.J./Camden Catholic) had double the amount of ground balls as any other player with a career-high seven, and she was second on the Tigers with three draw controls
- She also recorded a caused turnover to move into a tie for seventh in program history with 45 for her career
- Rianna Shields (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) led all players with a season-best six goals, while Imani Hopkins (Baltimore, Md./Carver Center for Arts & Technology) tied a match-high with two caused turnovers
- Mackenzie Santucci (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional (RCBC)) posted team-highs of four draw controls and three assists, the latter of which matched a career-best to move into 10th all-time with 25
- She added a goal to move into a tie for ninth in program history with 108 for her career
- Payton Pugh (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert's) was second on HFU with five ground balls, while Tori Wolstenholme (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert's) also had three draw controls
- Emma Hurley (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Moreland) made nine saves in net

How it Happened
- Embry-Riddle netted the first three over the opening 9:26 and after the two teams alternated goals, the Eagles closed out first quarter scoring with 39 seconds left for a 2-5 lead
- The two teams also alternated goals to begin the second, with Shields scoring her second, but ER tallied the final three of the half for a 3-9 advantage at the break
- The Eagles scored the first two of the third for a 3-11 cushion, before HFU closed the period with two of the final three for a 5-12 score-line entering the fourth
- Shields scored a second consecutive goal to open the final quarter, cutting the deficit to six with 12:01 left, only to have ER create separation with four unanswered
- The Tigers fond the net three times over the final 5:28, the final of two of which were by Shields in the final 1:42
