Searfoss Voted CACC Rookie of the Year; Joined on All-CACC Second Team by Prevost

CACC Release

Holy Family's Skyler Searfoss (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe Area) and Carolyn Prevost (Belle Mead, N.J./Montgomery) were both voted All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Second Team, with Searfoss capturing one of the four major awards as Rookie of the Year, the league offices announced on Tuesday.

Searfoss becomes the fifth CACC Rookie of the Year in the program's Division II history, joining Kelly Killion (2004-05), Melissa Brooks (2005-06), Catherine Carr (2007-08) and teammate Moe Moore (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) (2019-20).

The freshman is currently top four in the conference in field goal percentage (51.9), free throws made (100) and free throw percentage (83.3), while ranking in the top 12 in points (13.0) and assists per game (3.2) and steals (41).

In addition to leading HFU in scoring, assists per game, free throws made and free throw percentage, the four-time CACC Rookie of the Week is second in field goal percentage, minutes per game (30.6), field goals made (109) and steals.

Searfoss has scored in double-figures in 18-of-25 appearances, most notably pouring in a season-high 38 on 12-of-15 field goals and 14-of-17 free throws in a win over regionally-ranked Lincoln on Nov. 25. Those 38 points are tied for the third most by a Division II freshman in 2022-23.

Prevost is atop the league with a 56.6 field goal percentage, while also ranking in the top 12 with 324 points and a team-leading 61 offensive rebounds and 23 blocks.

One of two Tigers to start all 28 games, she leads Holy Family with 138 field goals and is second with 5.9 rebounds per game.

The junior has three double-doubles this, most notably leading all players with 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting, while adding 10 boards, in a Feb. 14 triumph over city-rival Chestnut Hill that gave HFU control of the CACC South Division two seed.
