Women’s Lacrosse Opens Road Schedule at Kutztown

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Holy Family University women's lacrosse team played its first away game of the season on Saturday, fall 17-3 at Kutztown. 
 
Individual Highlights
  • Lynn Hardy (Audubon, N.J./Camden Catholic) tied a match-high with five ground balls and added three draw controls to become the fifth student-athletes to surpass 150 career draw controls 
  • Mackenzie Santucci (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional (RCBC)) scored two of the Tigers' three goals to become the 10th student-athlete in program history to surpass 100 career goals, and she also led HFU with four draw controls for the match's second highest total 
  • Emma Hurley (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Moreland) made eight saves in net, and she matched Payton Pugh (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert's) with three ground balls to finish second on the team 
  • Rianna Shields (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) scored Holy Family's other goal 
How it Happened 
  • Kutztown scored the first five goals over the opening 10:10 as part of a 7-1 first quarter, with Santucci scoring a free-possession goal in-between
  • The Golden Bears then outscored HFU 6-0 in the second quarter to take 13-1 lead into halftime
