How it Happened
First Quarter

  • GBC scored next but Moore scored four as part of eight unanswered to complete an opening 11-2 run, with the Lightning tallying just those two points in the opening 5:39
  • Moore then tallied four in a row to shape the first double-digit advantage, 15-4, with 2:56 on the clock
  • A Searfoss jumper just over a minute later also built and 11-point lead, 17-6, as did her two free throws to make the score 19-8 at the 1:16 mark
  • The Lightning closed out the scoring for a nine-point deficit entering the second
Second Quarter
  • Two Moore foul shots just under three minutes into the period established the largest cushion of the first half, 24-12
  • Holy Family was still leading by double-digits, 26-16, after a Prevost layup with 5:27 showing, before GBC ended the half with seven of the final eight points
  • A buzzer beater brought the scoreboard to 23-27 going into the locker room
Third Quarter
  • Prevost recorded six of the first eight points of the second half, with Moore adding a layup as HFU once again built a 12-point advantage, 35-23
  • Goldey-Beacom managed to pull within six four times, first tallying eight of the next 10 points before doing so again at 35-41 and 37-43 at the respective 2:06 and 1:19 marks
  • Each time the Tigers had a response though, as two Searfoss free throws re-established an eight-point cushion entering the fourth
Fourth Quarter
  • The final six-point lead came at 50-44 following a 3-pointer with 6:56 to go
  • Again it was Prevost scoring four in a row, as Holy Family held Goldey to just one point over the ensuring 4:25
