Holy Family University is tied for 17th out of 307 Division II institutions with an Academic Success Rate (ASR) of 93 in the NCAA's most recent cohort, which considered student-athletes who enrolled between 2013 and 2016.
NCAA Division II's ASR is a metric that measures the percentage of student-athletes who earn a degree within six years of entering higher education. ASR includes transfers into the school, midyear enrollees and nonschoarlship student-athletes. Student-athletes who leave school while academically eligible to compete are removed from the calculation.
Holy Family's ASR of 93 is its highest in the 17 years it has been included in reporting.
That number ranked second among the 21 Division II institutions in the state of Pennsylvania in the report and third among the 13 institutions in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).
Four HFU teams - men's basketball, women's basketball, women's soccer, and volleyball - had perfect ASRs of 100 in most recent data.
Men's basketball was notably one of eight Division II men's basketball program to achieve the feat, while women's basketball has now had an ASR of 100 in eight straight cohorts.
Women's volleyball has had an ASR of 100 for six straight cohorts, while women's soccer has in three in a row.
Meanwhile, men's soccer (95), softball (94), women's lacrosse (93) and women's cross country and track & field (86) all met or exceeded the national average in their respective sports.
