Holy Family University One of 43 Division II Schools to Receive Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence

For the fifth year in a row, Holy Family University has received The Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence for achieving an Academic Success Rate (ASR) of 90% or higher.

ASR measures the graduation success of student-athletes at NCAA member institutions. Division II includes non-scholarship student-athletes and transfers into a school in the calculation, while removing those who transferred out of the school while academically eligible.

"The Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence highlights what makes Division II truly distinctive — our unwavering commitment to the full success of our student-athletes," said Colleen Perry Keith, president of the Division II Executive Board. "Achieving a 90 percent Academic Success Rate is an extraordinary accomplishment, and these 43 institutions exemplify the balance of academic achievement, competitive excellence and personal growth that defines Division II."

Holy Family's ASR for the most recent cohort, which featured student-athletes entering school in 2018, was 91%.

In addition to being one of 43 Division II institutions to receive the award, HFU was one of just four schools in Pennsylvania, as well as in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), to be earn recognition.
