Taylor Hinkle (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) has won her first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week award for her role in helping the Tigers go 2-0 while limiting opponents to 44.0 points per game on 27.9 percent shooting.
It is the sophomore's second career CACC weekly honor, as she was previously named the Rookie of the Week on Dec. 12 of last year.
Hinkle totaled five steals and 17 defensive rebounds, highlighted by a performance in which she set career-highs with five swipes and 12 boards, 10 of which were defensive, in Wednesday's 74-39 win over St. Thomas Aquinas.
She then added seven more defensive rebounds as Holy Family defeated Shippensburg 65-49 on Saturday.
