PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University women's soccer team celebrated homecoming with a 7-1 victory over Bloomfield on Saturday afternoon at Tiger Field.
Allison Loper (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth Academy (Georgian Court)) opened the scoring 43 seconds in as part of her first career brace. She also scored in the 24th minute, 1:07 after
Bella Scurci (Selbyville, Del./Indian River) found
Alyssa Hooten (Pocono Summit, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) for the second.
Hooten and Loper now lead HFU with seven and four goals on the season, respectively, while Scurci is atop the team with three assists.
Senior
Mel Prinos (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) scored her first career goal 21 seconds into the second half to make it 4-0.
Rebecca Casper (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) then played a part in the next two, first assisting
Maura Kilkenny (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Little Flower) in the 57th before finding the next herself four and half minutes later.
Sophomore
Alexandria McGonigle (Philadelphia, Pa./Saint Hubert's) rounded out the performance with her first career goal four seconds ahead of the final whistle.
