Volleyball Drops Five Set Heartbreaker to Post

WATERBURY, Conn. – The Holy Family University women's team suffered a heartbreaking five-set defeat (25-22, 25-23, 26-28, 18-25, 8-15) at Post on Saturday after winning the first two sets and having a match point in the third. 
 
The Tigers would then fall in three sets to Bentley (25-4, 25-22, 25-18). 
 
Individual Highlights
  • Shelby Kinzer (Sioux Falls, S.D./Washington) led HFU in kills in both matches, finishing with 23 on the day
    • She tied a career-high with 18 digs versus Post for her third double-double of the year
  • Ava Kidd (Walton, Ky./Larry A. Ryle (Saint Anselm)) posted a career-best 15 kills against the Eagles, while adding a team-high three blocks
  • Morgan Steck (Lakewood, Colo./Lakewood) paced all players with 39 assists versus Post
    • She topped the Tigers with a season-best four aces and added 12 digs for her second double-double of the year
  • Maeve Boylan (Ridley Township, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) led all players with a career-high 30 digs against the Eagles  
  • Kyla Sayson (Sewell, N.J./Gloucester Institute of Technology) paced HFU with 12 assists and a season-best three aces versus Bentley
  • Keira Rogan (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) and Natasha Yanief (Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) both tallied a team and season-high 10 digs against the Falcons
