Nishorn Pierre's (Grenada/Jamaica College) historic jump in the high jump at the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invite on Friday has led to him being honored as the East Coast Conference (ECC) Field Athlete of the Week. 
 
Clearing 2.18m, Pierre broke his own Grenadian National Indoor Record, while also tying the Ocean Breeze College Facility Record. 
 
Setting an NCAA provisional, the sophomore topped the field of 23 with the second highest clearance in Division II this season, as well as the seventh highest in all the NCAA.  
 
Additionally, Pierre marked at a collegiate personal record 6.81m in the long jump to place third amongst 40 entries.
