Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Touey’s Scores Second Straight Game-Winner; Shank Records First Career Shutout as Men’s Soccer Blanks Bloomfield for Fourth Consecutive Win

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – Sean Touey's (Rockledge, Pa./Abington) fifth minute goal was the only score as Luke Shank (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) made all six of his saves in the first half of his first career shutout, giving the HFU men's soccer team its fourth straight victory via a 1-0 blanking of Bloomfield on Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers' goal came from a corner, with Joel Richmond (Bridgetown, Barbados/Church Farm) sending it and Dakota Taylor (Willow Grove, Pa./Archbishop Wood) flicking it back post for Touey to volley in.

Bloomfield would not challenge Shank for the final 54 and a half minutes as the backline of Joseph Amabile (Beachwood, N.J./Toms River South), Kevin Duffy (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg), Nicolloyd Dinham (Manchester, Jamaica/(ASA)) and Eric Williams (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) limited the Bears to just two attempts off target in the final 35 and a half minutes.

Inside the Box Score
  • Touey is now tied for the team-lead with three goals, while Taylor's assist gives him a team-high four on the year
  • Shank's six stops were one shy of a season-best
