DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. –
Jacqueline Ziegler (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) scored with 2:10 remaining to cut the deficit to 2-1, but the HFU women's soccer team could not produce one final threat in a loss at 2021 NCAA Tournament participant Mercy on Tuesday afternoon.
Two goals just under six minutes apart in the opening 16 minutes turned out to be all the Mavericks would need, despite the Tigers producing the final six attempts of the contest.

- After Mercy held an 11-2 advantage in attempts in the first half, HFU outshot the Mavericks 8-4 over the final 45 minutes
- Hannah Florentino (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) tied a match-high with three shots
