WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Family University women's soccer team made a late push in attempt for an equalizer at Assumption on Sunday afternoon, but it never came in an eventual 2-1 loss to the Greyhounds.
After falling behind 2-1 in the 50th minute, the Tigers registered 13 of the game's final 15 shots, including one final effort on frame by
Jacqueline Ziegler (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) with 44 seconds remaining.
Brynn Hess (Benton, Pa./Benton) cancelled out Assumption's 18th minute opener in exceptional fashion, as her shot from outside the top of the box flew into the upper left corner to tie the score at 1-1 in the 29th minute.

- Assumption produced the game's first shot in the ninth minute
- The Greyhound's opening goal came less than a minute after Ava Hooten (Pocono Summit, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) forced the afternoon's first save late in the 17th
- Holy Family recorded the next two shots following the score, the latter of which by Allison Loper (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth Academy (Georgian Court)) was saved in the 24th
- Mel Prinos (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) had the only other shot on target in the half in the 39th
Second Half
- Loper had the first shot just over three minutes after the break, but Assumption regained its lead just over a minute later
- Brianna Pudlo (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) made her first save in the 51st minute, just over a minute after the Greyhound's second goal
- Holy Family had the game's next seven, and 13 of the next 14, shots, with Maura Kilkenny (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Little Flower), Hess, Carly Nothnagel (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) and Ziegler all forcing saves
