USTFCCCA Release
Nine members of the Holy Family University track & field program have earned 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field All-Region accolades given out by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Top-five individuals in each event from each region earn All-Region laurels, in addition to each of the members of a top-three-ranked relay team.
Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
- Nyoki Jones (Jersey City, N.J./Snyder) was a three-time honoree for the second year in a row, including in the 400m hurdles after placing second with a time of 1:03.19 at the CACC Championship
- She was also a member of the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams that placed in the top-three of the region
- The 4x400m relay team of Jones, Kahdia Jones (Daytona Beach, Fla./Atlantic), Taylor Cotter (Fairfax, Va./Paul VI Catholic) and Shania Le Maitre (Champs Fleurs, Trinidad & Tobago/Holy Name Convent) topped the region with a time of 3:50.92
- K. Jones was also a member of the 4x100m relay team, along with Kimoya Henry-Ellis (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Mount Vernon) and Ariel Salkey (Queens, N.Y./Francis Lewis)
- Salkey was also a member of the 2021 4x400m relay team that earned All-Region
- Korryn Braxton-Young (Wilmington, Del./Hodgson Vo-Tech) was also a repeat honoree as her school-record of 12.97m in the shot put was second in the region
- Nishorn Pierre (Grenada/Jamaica College HS) was a two-time honoree, topping the region with school records and NCAA Provisionals in both the triple jump (14.87m) and high jump (2.19m), the latter of which led to a second place finish at the NCAA Championships
- Kenisha Greenwood (Jamaica) was the other Tiger to set a NCAA Provisional, with a school record of 1:01.75 in the 400m Hurdles
