HFU Women, Greenwood Earn Program’s First USTFCCCA Track & Field All-Academic Awards

USTFCCCA Release

For the first time in program history, the HFU women's track & field program has been named an All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), with Kenisha Greenwood (Jamaica) also becoming the first Tiger to be honored as an All-Academic Athlete.

In order to be designated an All-Academic Team, the cumulative grade point average (GPA) for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Holy Family women's track & field currently sports a 3.3 cumulative team GPA.

The criteria to be named an NCAA Division II All-Academic Athlete is a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 3.25 on a 4.0 scale through the end of the semester of competition. The student-athlete must also have completed at least 24 semester hours/36 quarter hours through the end of the semester of competition at the institution, while achieving an automatic-or provisional qualifying mark (individual or relay event) for either the indoor season or outdoor season.

Greenwood's provisional qualifying mark came in the 400m hurdles, when she ran a school-record 1:01.75 to win the Widener Invitational with the fastest time in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) this season. That time ranked third in the region and 32nd in all of Division II.
