How It Happened (Game 1)

* Holy Family plated a pair of runs in the opening inning to take an early 2-0 lead.  Senior Elaina Hansen (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) drove in fellow senior Abigail Smith (Elkton, Md./Red Lion Christian Academy) with a one-out triple.  Smith led the inning off with a walk.  Hansen would then go on to score off a base hit from freshman Emma Clayborne (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon)

* Trailing 2-0, the Bears responded in a big way with a five-run first in the bottom of the inning.  Danielle Walters came through with a grand slam to highlight the inning.

* Holy Family quickly got two runs back in the second inning to cut the deficit down to 5-4.  Junior Makenna Patterson (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge) led the inning off with a triple and would score two batters later when Smith delivered a triple of her own to center field.  Smith would cross the plate later in the inning when Clayborne singled to right field for her second RBI of the game.

* Bloomfield extended its lead to 8-4 in the bottom half of the fourth to pull away from the Tigers.  The Bears had three different players drive in runs in the inning.  Bloomfield tacked on three more in the bottom of the sixth, including a two-run double by Raelyn D'Onofrio.

Inside the Box Score (Game 1)

* Freshman Alexis Letizia (Toms River, N.J./Donovan Catholic) had a breakout game offensively as she went 3-for-4 at the plate.  Clayborne, Patterson and freshman Lauren Hagy (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) all had multiple hits in the game as well with two each.

* For Bloomfield, D'Onofrio went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run, while Audrianna Ortiz went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI.  Walters drove in a game-high four runs with her first inning grand slam.

How It Happened (Game 2)

* Bloomfield scored the game's first run in the second inning off a run scoring hit by Walters.  The score remained that way until the fourth when the Tigers tied the game at 1-1. Senior Ashley Remington (Collegeville, Pa./Pope John Paul II) led the inning off with a home run; her second in as many games played.

* The Bears would regain the lead in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a run scoring double by Taylor Galyean to make the score 2-1.

* Holy Family responded in the fifth to grab its first lead of the game.  Junior Maria Leedom (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy (Shippensburg)) reached base after a Bloomfield miscue in the outfield.  Hansen followed with a two-run shot to make the score 3-2. The Tigers added another run later in the inning when Letizia drove in pinch-runner Jasmine Chui (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks South) with a single to right field to give Holy Family a 4-2 lead.

* The Holy Family offense didn't stop there as the Tigers plated three runs in each of the next two innings to take a commanding 10-3 lead.  Remington capped the scoring in the game with a two-run double in the seventh.

Inside the Box Score (Game 2)
