West Babylon, N.Y. – Holy Family University junior Terrence Jones (Newark, N.J./William Allen) and freshman Nishorn Pierre (Grenada/Jamaica College HS) were both named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Men's Indoor Track & Field Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending Feb. 13 as announced by the conference office earlier this week. This past Friday, the Tigers competed at the Fastrack National Invite held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island.

Jones, in his first meet of the season, broke the school record in the 60-meter hurdles two weeks after teammate Reymond Reyes (Jersey City, N.J./William L. Dickinson) set the new standard. Jones, competing in the 60-meter Hurdles Invite race, broke Reyes' mark of 8.85 seconds in the preliminaries with a time of 8.59 seconds. Jones went on to the finals and broke his new mark with a time of 8.50 seconds to finish seventh overall in the event.

Jones' time of 8.50 seconds is tops in the ECC this season and is the eighth best time in the East Region.

Pierre set a new school mark in the triple jump in his first meet with the Tigers. Pierre recorded a distance of 44' 4.25" (13.52m) to finish seventh overall. His distance broke the previous school record of 43' 8.5" (13.32m) set by Vontae Hilliard at the 2017 ECC Championships. Pierre also competed in the high jump invite event and finished third overall with a height of 6'6" (1.98m).

Pierre's triple jump distance is currently ninth best in the East Region this season and his high jump mark of 6'6" is ranked seventh in the region.
