Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Tigers Defeat Warriors, 61-53

Philadelphia, Pa. – The Holy Family University men's basketball team defeated visiting Nyack College by the score of 61-53 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Saturday afternoon at the Campus Center Gymnasium on Alumni Day and in part of the team's Pediatric Cancer Awareness game.

The Holy Family men's and women's basketball teams were raising money and awareness for its LaceUp4 Pediatric Cancer game.  The Tigers wore yellow shoe laces and the coaches had yellow ribbons on their polos in part of raising awareness. Proceeds from donations will be donated to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Lace Up 4 Cancer.

Prior to the game, both the men's and women's teams recognized Lincoln Hanson, the son of alum Meg Bauer-Hanson, as honorary team captain for the day.  Lincoln was diagnosed with pediatric cancer on Feb. 11, 2021 and is currently in remission. Lincoln was accompanied by his parents, Meg and Jay, along with family and friends during the pregame celebration.
