How It Happened

* Holy Family trailed by as many as 13 points at the 5:14 mark of the first half after Wilmington's Taalib Holloman made the score 32-19 with a layup.  Holy Family responded by closing out the final five minutes of the half with an 11-2 run to come within four points of the lead at 34-30. Freshman Manny Toha (Newark, N.J./Marist) scored five points during the run, while freshman Dom Thomas (Mullica Hill, N.J./St. Joseph Academy) and junior Eric Esposito (Langhorne, Pa./Conwell Egan) knocked down threes during the surge.

* The momentum carried over into the second half as Holy Family scored the first nine points to grab a 39-34 lead at the 15:15 mark.  Junior Kharon Randolph (Philadelphia, Pa./Haverford School) capped the run with a three-pointer in what turned out to be a 20-2 rally over 10 minutes of game time.

* Wilmington followed with nine unanswered points over the next four minutes to regain the lead.  A fast-break drunk by Randy Rickards gave the Wildcats a 45-39 lead with 11:18 left to play in the half.

* Holy Family grabbed the lead back with just under four minutes to play when freshman David Robinson, Jr. (North Wales, Pa./Chestnut Hill Academy) hit a jumper to make the score 55-54.  On the next Tigers' possession, Esposito split a pair of free throws to increase the lead to two points.

* The lead would be short-lived as Wilmington tied the game and took control of the lead thanks to a three-point play by Caleb Matthews.  The basket and one turned into a 16-4 run by the Wildcats to close out the final 3:10 minutes of the game.
