How it Happened
First Half
  • Holy Family scored the first nine, and 12 of the first 14, points to establish a first-half-high 12-point advantage when Esposito hit a jumper just 5:14 into the contest
  • 12 straight points gave CSI its lone leads, 17-19 and 17-21, the latter coming 5:32 to play in the half
  • The Tigers would respond with seven unanswered, beginning with back-to-back Archer 3-ponters, to take the lead for good less than a minute and a half later
  • The Dolphins momentarily pulled within one, 23-24, but HFU closed the half with the final seven points, five of which were by Espostio as his 3-pointer made the score 31-23 entering the locker room
Second Half
  • Robinson Jr.'s layup 12 seconds out of the break re-established a double-digit advantage, which only lasted 21 seconds as CSI got as closed as five twice, the second time at 30-35 with 17:50 to go
  • The Dolphins were also within six, 35-41, three minutes later, but they could never make it a single-possession game
