Men’s Soccer Overcomes Halftime Deficit to Advance to CACC Semifinals for Fourth Straight Season

PHILADELPHIA – Kevin Duffy's (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) free kick with 6:10 remaining led to an own goal that turned out to the be the game-winner in HFU men's soccer's 2-1 win over Felician in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament Quarterfinals at Tiger Field on Tuesday evening.

The victory was the Tigers' 12th, their most since 2007 season.

Trailing 1-0 at the half, Sean Touey (Rockledge, Pa./Abington) set up Dakota Taylor (Willow Grove, Pa./Archbishop Wood) for the tying goal just 5:36 out of the break.

The Golden Falcons were later shown a red card in the 71st minute, setting the stage for Holy Family to push for the winner.

Once ahead the Tigers' net was never threatened, as Luke Shank (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West), protected by Duffy, Nicolloyd Dinham (Manchester, Jamaica/(ASA)), Joseph Amabile (Beachwood, N.J./Toms River South) and Eric Williams (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic), had to make just one save in the final 61:58.
