PHILADELPHIA, PA. – The Holy Family University volleyball team celebrated their senior day with a victory against Bloomfield College on Saturday afternoon.
Individual Highlights

Isabella Mosquera (West Chicago, Ill./Saint Charles East) led the way with 12 kills and five total blocks. Mosquera's 12 kills marks her second highest total of the season. She is now at 91 total blocks for the season, which is good for fourth in the program's single-season history

Allyssa Hartney (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) and Skylar Osenkarski (Harding, Pa./Holy Redeemer) both added ten kills each

Morgan Steck (Lakewood, Colo./Lakewood) posted a match-high 40 assists

Mainerys Munoz (Stafford, Va./North Stafford) and Brianna Moss (Gainesville, Va./Battlefield) led the Tigers with 12 digs each. Moss' 12 digs set a new career high.

Munoz and Mosquera both had a game-high five service aces, which was a season high for both athletes

How it Happened
First Set

The TIgers used 14 points unanswered points to fly out to 19-5 lead, with Mosquera tallying three service aces during the run

After a few more points, and two Shelby Kinzer (Sioux Falls, S.D./Washington) service aces, HFU closed out the first set with a final score of 25-12
Second Set

Holy Family got their lead up to 19-9 before the Bears were able to respond with a run of their own

Despite the Bears going on a ten to four run, HFU was able to get it to set point, however seven unanswered Bloomfield points saw them take the second set 26-24
Third Set

After the Tigers were able to win the first two points of the set, Bloomfield kept in within three until pivotal kills by Kinzer, Hartney, and Zoe Krause (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point) helped to open up a six point lead at a score of 13-9

Following a Bears timeout, Holy Family was able to hold on to their lead, eventually being able to extend it to eight, with the set ending 25-17 in favor of the Tigers
Forth Set

The fourth started with both side exchanging lead, and neither team holding onto more than a three point lead early in the set

A Bloomfield five point run saw Holy Family's small lead turn into a two point deficit at 9-7

A six to two run saw the TIger's restore there lead, thanks in part to two clutch service aces from Munoz

The two teams traded points, until the TIgers would eventually open up a four point lead, the largest of the set to that point, at 19-15

This lead would not last long, as the Bears were able to go on a run, tying the set at 22 points each

With Bloomfield in firm control of the momentum, Kinzer, who seemed to come up with important attacks all afternoon, recorded her ninth kill of the match, halting the Bear's momentum

Two more clutch Holy Family kills by Osenkarski and Hartney were enough to finish off the set at a score of 25-22, ending the match 3-1 in favor of the TIgers
