Men’s Soccer Ties Program Record for CACC Victories; Tigers Secure Home Playoff Match with 3-0 Win at Goldey-Beacom

WILMINGTON, Del. – Dakota Taylor's (Willow Grove, Pa./Archbishop Wood) second career brace highlighted the Holy Family University's men's soccer team's 3-0 win at Goldey-Beacom on Monday afternoon.

The victory was the Tigers' eighth in Central Atlantic Collegiate (CACC) play, matching the program record set in 2019.

The result also means HFU will host a CACC Tournament Quarterfinal next Tuesday at Tiger Field against an opponent to be determined at a time to be announced.

Taylor opened the scoring just 2:10 in when Gavin Rowan (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) found him in the middle of the field for a shot from 20 yards out. The senior then collected a defection and fired in from 10 yards away 6:02 into the second half.

Joel Richmond (Bridgetown, Barbados/Church Farm) penalty put a bow on the performance in the 65th minute.

The back-four of Joseph Amabile (Beachwood, N.J./Toms River South), Kevin Duffy (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg), Nicolloyd Dinham (Manchester, Jamaica/(ASA)) and Eric Williams (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) allowed just one shot on Luke Shank's (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) net for HFU's fourth shutout of the season.
