Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women’s Soccer Defeats Caldwell 3-0 to Extend Unbeaten Run to Eight for First Time Since 2010

CALDWELL, N.J. – The HFU women's soccer team controlled play at Caldwell on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Cougars 3-0 to extend its unbeaten run to eight for the first time 2010.

After three attempts in the opening 6:27, the Tigers broke through via Allison Loper's (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth Academy (Georgian Court)) run into the box in 14th minute. It was Jacqueline Ziegler (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) who found her, and after beating a defender she calmly slotted into the right corner.

Gianna Monaco (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) then blocked the Caldwell goalkeeper's attempted clearance in the 55th minute, leading to an easy tap-in.

Megan Kennedy (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) then closed out the scoring with her first career goal 2:31 ahead of the final whistle when she chested home Maddie Maguire's (Sewell, N.J./Nazareth Academy (Rider)) cross at the back post.

Brianna Pudlo (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) made three of her four saves in the first half for her third consecutive shutout and fifth this season.
