PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University women's soccer team scored three times in the second half, extending its unbeaten streak to five with a 3-0 victory over Alliance on Saturday afternoon at Tiger Field.
The first two Tigers goals came as the result of corners, with
Jacqueline Ziegler (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) first scoring directly from the left corner in the 53rd minute, before
Ava Hooten's (Pocono Summit, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) first goal, assisted by Ziegler, came as a result from
Allison Loper's (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth Academy (Georgian Court)) corner from the right in the 84th.
Hooten then completed her first career brace 1:19 ahead of the final whistle, courtesy of Loper and
Jenna Slavin (Philadelphia, Pa./Franklin Towne Charter).
Brianna Pudlo (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) would make four saves, two in each half, for her third shutout of the season, with
Maura Kilkenny (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Little Flower),
Grace Joyce (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan),
Lexi Murphy (Woolwich Township, N.J./Kingsway Regional (Saint Francis U)),
Brynn Hess (Benton, Pa./Benton) and
Izzy Mignon (Pipersville, Pa./Central Bucks East) protecting her in defense for HFU's fourth shutout of the year.

First Half
- Holy Family began pressuring Alliance's keeper just over two minutes in when Hess fired on net
- Ziegler's first of two shots on net in the half came in the 15th minute
- Pudlo was first tested just over four minutes later
- Hannah Florentino (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) and Kilkenny had two attempts just over 40 seconds apart in the 22nd and 23rd, with Florentino denied by the keeper and Kilkenny missing high
- Pudlo's other save came with 18 minutes remaining in the opening period
- Ziegler's second shot on net came in the 30th
- Gianna Moncao hit the crossbar in the 35th minute, before Maddie Maguire (Sewell, N.J./Nazareth Academy (Rider)) saw her shot stopped in 39th
- Monaco was then rejected by the keeper 41 seconds ahead of the break
Second Half
- Megan Kennedy (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) was denied prior to the corner that led to opening score
- Pudlo kept the score at 1-0 with a save in the 68th minute
- Hess missed wide in the 73rd
- Both teams tested the keepers just over a minute apart in the 78th and 79th, with HFU's coming from Maguire
- The Tigers scored on their final two attempts, the final of which came after Loper played Slavin down the right-hand side, leading to a ball played into the center of the box for Hooten
