Tigers Fall to Golden Falcons in CACC Road Contest



Rutherford, N.J. – The Holy Family University men's basketball team suffered a 99-73 defeat on the road against Felician University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Sunday night at Job Gymnasium.

How It Happened
 
* With the game tied 7-7, Felician's Etnik Peci knocked down a three-pointer to jumpstart a 26-6 run by the Golden Falcons over an eight-minute span.  Jaylen Colon capped the run with four free throws that made the score 33-13 at the 8:21 mark of the half.
 
* The Golden Falcons increased their lead to as many as 28 in the opening half after a Peci three-pointer made the score 51-23 with less than two minutes until halftime.  Felician would go on to lead, 55-28, at the half.
 
* In the second half, the Golden Falcons increased their lead to as many as 33 points after a pair of free throws at the 17:40 mark made the score 63-30. 
 
* Felician finished the game with 15 three-pointers and converted 22-of-28 from the free throw line.
 
Inside the Box Score
 
* Freshman Manny Toha (Newark, N.J./Marist) led the Tigers with 21 points (8-14 FG).  It marked his fourth 20-plus points scoring outburst of the season.
 
* Freshman David Robinson, Jr. (North Wales, Pa./Chestnut Hill Academy) recorded his first career double-double after scoring 10 points and grabbing a season-high 12 rebounds.
 
* Junior Kharon Randolph (Philadelphia, Pa./Haverford School) also scored in double-figures for the Tigers as he finished the night with 11 points.
 
* For Felician, Colon scored a game-high 28 points after knocking down eight three-pointers in the game.  Justin Davis recorded a double-double with 26 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
 
All-Time Series
Tonight marked the 24th meeting between Holy Family and Felician since the start of the 2002-03 season.  The Tigers are now 15-9 versus the Golden Falcons in that span.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 1 as the Tigers host Wilmington University in a CACC contest.  Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Campus Center Gymnasium.
