How it Happened

* Holy Family led nearly the entire game with the exception of the game-opening three-pointer by Bloomfield's Josh Morris.  The Tigers quickly countered with a three of their own from junior Daniel Fleming (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield) to tie the game.  Holy Family took the lead on its ensuing possession with a Manny Toha (Newark, N.J./Marist) layup score and never relinquished the lead from that moment on.

* The Bears tied the game at 6-6, but the Tigers followed with a 14-4 run to increase the lead to double-digits for the first time in the game.  Dom Thomas (Mullica Hill, N.J./St. Joseph Academy) scored a basket at the 10:43 mark to cap the run and make the score 20-10.

* Holy Family led by as many as 17 points in the opening half. A three-pointer by Eric Esposito (Langhorne, Pa./Conwell Egan) made the score 37-20 with just under three minutes to play until halftime.  Bloomfield went on to score the final seven points in the half to cut the deficit down to 37-27 entering the locker rooms at halftime.

* Both teams went back-and-forth in the second half with Bloomfield cutting into the Tigers' lead and coming within single digits and in turn Holy Family surging to increase its lead back to double-digits.  The Bears would come as close as four points of the Tigers' lead in the final minutes.  Tyrek Battle-Holley converted a pair of free throws that made the score 72-68 with just 1:33 to play.

* The two free throws would be the final points the Bears would score in the game as they went 0-for-5 down the stretch, while Holy Family went 3-of-4 from the free throw line to hold off the rally.

* Junior Rick'Keem Mixson (Linden, N.J./St. Mary of the Assumption (Raritan Valley CC)) led the Tigers with 18 points (5-9 FG | 6-8 FT) while adding five rebounds and four assists to his stat line.

* Esposito recorded his third straight double-double and fifth of the season after totaling 16 points and 11 rebounds.  He also blocked a pair of shots and had a steal on defense.

* Fleming also recorded a double-double, his second of the season, after finishing with 15 points and a career-high 11 rebounds.  Defensively, Fleming blocked a shot and recorded a pair of steals.
