How It Happened

* Goldey-Beacom broke a 58-58 tie with six minutes to play in regulation by going on a 17-3 run to close out the game.  Back-to-back three-pointers by Cardin Joubert and Mattia Morini on two possessions for the Lightning jump started the final surge. Holy Family shot 1-of-10 from the field during that span.

* Earlier on in the second half the Lightning led by nine points with a 33-24 lead in the first minute of play.  The Tigers eventually chipped away at the deficit and tied the game at 42-42 on a Manny Toha (Newark, N.J./Marist) fast-break basket initiated by a steal.  With the game tied 42-42 at the 14:22 mark, the Tigers grabbed their first lead of the game on the following possession with Eric Esposito (Langhorne, Pa./Conwell Egan) scoring on a layup basket.

* Holy Family led by as many as five points in the second half after Nate Conyer (Pemberton, N.J./BCIT Medford) drained a three-pointer to make the score 53-48 in favor of the Tigers at the 10:44 mark. The Lightning used a quick 10-0 run over the next two minutes to take over the lead at 58-53 before the Tigers tied the game for the final time at 58-58.

* Goldey-Beacom opened the game with an 18-4 run over the first nine minutes of play for its largest lead of the game.  The Tigers nearly overcame the entire 14-point deficit with a 10-0 run to make the score 18-14 at the 8:06 mark of the first half.  The Lightning would go on to lead, 31-22, by the end of the first 20 minutes.
