How It Happened

* One goal was all the Tigers would need to improve to 2-0-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this season.  After subbing into the game, sophomore Carly Nothnagel (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) wasted no time to make an impact.  A corner kick attempt by senior Jacqueline Ziegler (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) was placed perfectly into the box where Nothnagel headed the ball into the back of the net for the score in the 30th minute.

* Goldey-Beacom outshot the Tigers, 7-3, in the first half but couldn't get the ball past senior goalkeeper Alayna McSeed (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) who stopped all four of the seven shots that were on-target.  The Lightning managed three more shots on-goal in the second half but each one was stopped by McSeed.

Inside the Box Score

* Nothnagel scored her second goal of the season in as many games, both being designated as the game-winning scores.

* McSeed made seven saves in net to increase her season total to 27.  With the shutout her goals against average dropped to 0.64 currently ranked the lowest in the CACC.

* Freshman Brynn Hess (Benton, Pa./Benton) led the Tigers with three shots with two on-target.  Ziegler also had multiple shots on the day with two.

* Goldey-Beacom's goalkeeper Noel Talbot finished the game with four saves.
