How It Happened (Game 1)

* Felician's Martarina Crumb held the Tigers scoreless in a complete seven inning performance despite allowing seven hits in the game.  Crumb managed to escape a one-out bases loaded jam in the sixth without allowing a run to preserve the shutout.

* The Golden Falcons scored the game's first run in the second off a sacrifice fly and didn't score again until the sixth inning when Sam Melendez drove in a run off a double to left center field.  Felician went on to double the lead with two runs in the seventh.  Alexis Velotta homered early in the inning before Sarah Harrell drove in a run to make the score 4-0.

Inside the Box Score (Game 1)

* Junior Ashley Remington (Collegeville, Pa./Pope John Paul II) was the pitcher of record for the Tigers.  Through the first five innings, Remington allowed just one run while striking out seven batters.  In seven innings of work, she allowed three earned runs and scattered seven hits.  At the plate Remington went 2-for-3.

* Junior Elaina Hansen (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) extended her hitting streak to 11 games with a double in the sixth inning.  Sophomore Devyn Dydak (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth Academy) also doubled in the opener going 1-for-2 at the plate.

* Senior Heather Bogardus (Ridley, Pa./Ridley) finished the game 2-for-3 in her first game back since the season opener at East Stroudsburg.

How It Happened (Game 2)

* Game two featured a plethora of runs and hits from both teams as the Tigers and Golden Falcons combined for 23 runs and 29 hits.

* Holy Family scored first when junior Abigail Smith (Elkton, Md./Red Lion Christian Academy) took home off a wild pitch in the bottom of the opening inning.  A home run by Felician's Daisha Howard in the second tied the game at 1-1.  However, Smith would connect with her first home run of the season in the bottom of the inning to give the Tigers the lead right back at 2-1. Both teams scored a run in the third with Remington coming through with a run scoring single for the Tigers to break the 2-2 tie.

* In the fourth the Golden Falcons regained possession of the lead thanks to a three-run home run by Melendez.  Her shot over the left field fence made the score 5-3.  Felician added another three runs in the fifth with Nicole Spiegelberg clearing the bases with a base hit to right field.  A Holy Family error on the play allowed all three runners to score with Spiegelberg credited with two RBI.

* In the bottom of the fifth the Tigers got three runs back with three run-scoring singles by freshman Emily Siwek (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy), Smith and senior Taylor Nichols (Salisbury, Md./Parkside).  The three scoring plays cut the deficit down to 8-6.

* In the sixth the Golden Falcons broke the game open with a six-run frame.  Spiegelbe highlighted the inning with a two-out grand slam to cap the scoring in the inning and make the score, 14-6.

* Holy Family was able to score two runs in the bottom of the inning Siwek recording another run scoring hit and with Smith drawing a bases loaded walk.
