How It Happened

* Holy Family jumped out to a 2-0 lead thanks to early goals by junior Mackenzie Santucci (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional (RCBC)) and sophomore Lynn Hardy (Audubon, N.J./Camden Catholic).  However, Caldwell responded by scoring the six of the next seven goals in the game to take a 6-3 lead by the 11:13 mark.

* Santucci would add another goal for the Tigers to cut the lead down to 6-4, but the Cougars followed with back-to-back goals to extend the lead to four at 8-4 with less than three minutes to play.  Holy Family would tack on one more first half goal after taking advantage of a Caldwell yellow card.  With a player down, Santucci converted a free-position shot to make the score 8-5 heading into halftime.

* In the second half the Cougars opened with six straight goals over a four-minute span. Jenna Steelman and Arden Kassaleh each scored two goals during the run as Caldwell held its biggest lead at 14-5 at the 22:42 mark.

* Freshman Tori Wolstenholme (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert's) ended the Cougars run as she scored back-to-back goals but each team would go on to exchange goals resulting in a 19-7 lead for Caldwell with 8:38 to play in regulation.

* Holy Family went on a quick 4-0 run thanks to three more goals by Wolstenholme.  Junior Yasmine Machlof (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland) also scored in the run as the Tigers cut the deficit down to 17-13 by the 3:54 mark.  The Cougars tallied one addition goal with :30 seconds remaining to cap the scoring.
