Location: Bensalem, Pa. (Bensalem High School)

How It Happened (Game 1)

* Junior Ashley Remington (Collegeville, Pa./Pope John Paul II) (1-4) set the tone for the game as she stifled the Bloomfield offense by striking out a season-high 10 batters while only allowing five hits through a complete game effort.  Remington struck out at least one batter from the second inning on in the game.

* Holy Family supplied Remington with all the run support she would need in the bottom half of the third inning.  The Tigers plated four runs in the inning after starting the frame off with back-to-back singles by senior Michelle Slaughter (Philadelphia, Pa./Franklin Towne Charter) and sophomore Devyn Dydak (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth Academy).  Two batters later junior Abigail Smith (Elkton, Md./Red Lion Christian Academy) was hit by a pitch which loaded the bases.  After senior Taylor Nichols (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) reached on an error that in turn scored Dydak, junior Elaina Hansen (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) drew a bases loaded walk to score another run.  Sophomore Makenna Patterson (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge) and Remington then followed with back-to-back singles to left field to each drive in a run and expand the lead to 4-0.

* Bloomfield managed a single run in the top half of the seventh inning to spoil the Tigers' shutout bid.

Inside the Box Score

* Eight different hitters recorded hits for the Tigers in the game.

* Bloomfield's Sierra Albritton went 3-for-3 at the plate with a run scored.  Albritton was the only player from either team with multiple hits in the game.  She also stole three bases.

How It Happened (Game 2)

* Trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Hansen delivered a clutch two-out single to right-center field to drive in the tying run to send the game into extra innings.  Earlier in the game Hansen hit a shot off the leftfield foul pole for her fourth home run of the season.  Her two-run bomb in the fifth gave the Tigers a 3-2 lead.

* With the international tie-break rule in effect, the Bears were able to bring home McKenna Prefach who led the inning off at second base.  Mya Lopez advanced Prefach to third with a sacrifice bunt.  Albritton then reached on an infield error by the Tigers, which allowed Prefach to score easily for the potential winning run.

* In the bottom of the ninth, reliever Danielle Walters was able to retire the Tigers in order to secure the victory.  Walters (2-1) earned the win after 2.2 innings of relief work.

Inside the Box Score (Game 2)

* Hansen and Smith each went 3-for-4 at the plate for the Tigers in the night cap.  Hansen added three RBI, including her two-run homer.  Smith tallied a pair of runs while drawing a walk.

* Junior Stephanie Uribe (San Diego, Calif./Liberty Charter High) went nine strong innings for the Tigers allowed two earned runs and striking out four batters.  Uribe also doubled while going 1-for-4 at the plate in the game.

* Bloomfield's Albritton was 1-for-4 with three more stolen bases as she finished the afternoon a perfect 6-for-6 on steal attempts.
