Caldwell, N.J. – The Holy Family University women's soccer team came away with a 2-1 road victory over Caldwell University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Tuesday night at Kiwanis Oval.

How It Happened
 
* Freshman Carly Nothnagel (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) scored her first collegiate goal in the 37th minute to give Holy Family the game's first lead.  Nothnagel was able to get a shot off after collecting a deflected ball for the unassisted score.
 
* The score remained 1-0 in favor of the Tigers through halftime but the lead didn't last long entering the second half.  The Cougars tied the game in the 80-seconds into the second stanza as Kasey McConnell scored off a rebounded saved shot by Kayla Neves.
 
* Holy Family regained the lead six minutes later when senior Hannah Derby (Pitman, N.J./Pitman) scored her first goal of the season. Derby collected a loose ball and fired a shot from 20-yards out to give the Tigers a 2-1 advantage in the 53rd minute.
 
* The Holy Family defense held Caldwell to just two shots, with one on-target, the final 37 minutes of the game.
 
News and Notes
 
* Freshman Brenna McCarry (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) finished with a game-high four shots, including two on-goal.  Junior Jacqueline Ziegler (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) attempted three shots in the game with two on-target.
 
* Senior Brianna Pudlo (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) earned her second win of the season in net as she made two saves off nine total shots by the Cougars.  
 
* Caldwell goalkeeper Jamie-Lee Bamford made five saves in net.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 29th meeting between Holy Family and Caldwell since the start of the 1999 season.  The Tigers are now 22-6-1 versus the Cougars in that span.  Holy Family has won five of the last six match up in the series.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Sunday, March 28 as the Tigers host Chestnut Hill College in a CACC contest.  Game time is set for 6 p.m. at Bryn Athyn College.
