How It Happened

* Junior Joel Richmond (Bridgetown, Barbados/Church Farm) scored the game's first goal in the 28th minute after collecting his own rebounded shot which was initially saved by Felician goalkeeper Alex Ficarra.  The goal gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead midway through the half and that's how the score would stay entering halftime.

* It didn't take long into the second half for the Tigers to double their lead especially on how the offense was pressuring the Felician defense all game.  Senior Mike Smith (Southampton, Pa./Archbishop Wood) was on the receiving end of two quick interior passes from juniors Georg Montag (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and Anthony Boyle (Philadelphia, Pa./La Salle) to score his first goal of the season. Smith's goal in the 48th minute was the first of three scores by the Tigers in the second half.

* Sophomore Sean Touey (Rockledge, Pa./Abington) scored a goal in the 76th minute off assists from junior Will Stackhouse (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and senior Sean McCormick (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge).  Junior Mohamed Elgayar (Philadelphia, Pa. (Egypt)/Northeast) added a goal to cap the scoring in the 85th minute with a cross pass from Smith from the right side.

News and Notes

* Holy Family blasted 11 shots in the first half to just one by the Felician offense.  The Tigers went on to finish the game with 17 shots, including 14 on-target.  The Golden Falcons were held to only six shots in the game.

* Senior goalkeeper Mark Tobin (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (La Salle Univ.)) recorded his first shutout of the season and his ninth of his career.  He had three saves in the win.

* Holy Family recorded a season-high nine corner kicks while not allowing any corner kick attempts by the Golden Falcons. It's the first time the Tigers didn't allow a corner kick by an opponent since Oct. 14, 2014 at Chestnut Hill College.

* McCormick, Richmond and Touey each led the Tigers with four shots each.
